NIESR sees UK economic system posting modest progress in Q3 after Q2 displaying
This follows up from the Q2 preliminary GDP report right here earlier. NIESR is projecting the UK economic system to then submit zero.5% q/q progress in Q3, citing “supportive fiscal coverage counteracting fragile exterior situations and because the fee of labour market cooling slows”. Including to that, “unfavorable progress in April and Might can even mechanically assist progress figures within the third quarter”.
It is a bit of an early name, so the institute is attaching a few caveats to their projection. They notice that “the fragility of the general public funds anticipates fiscal tightening within the Autumn Price range” and that extended coverage uncertainty may worsen the outlook for UK debt. As such, that poses a substantial threat to their Q3 progress estimate above.
