Bloomberg (gated) carry the report exhibiting a key measure of CEO confidence in China has turned pessimistic for the primary time because the pandemic. The lack of confidence comes regardless of current stimulus measures being introduced.
Bloomberg reported on a survey by the US-based Convention Board:
- sentiment amongst executives of principally American and European firms fell to 49, down from 56 within the earlier six months
- rating beneath 50 signifies pessimism
- findings mirror ongoing considerations about China’s financial system
CEOs recognized China’s financial slowdown as their largest problem, noting that rising worth sensitivity amongst customers is squeezing their earnings.
