Jibun Financial institution S&P World PMI Flash / Preliminary for October 2024 for Japan – slumping from the earlier month:

Composite 49.four,

• first contraction in 4 mnnths

Not a superb survey:

• manufacturing unit exercise contracts for the 4th straight month
• New orders decreased throughout manufacturing and providers
• Poor demand situations within the home financial system, and new orders from overseas fell on the quickest
  tempo since February 2023
• providers had their first contraction in 4 months, to the bottom
  degree since February 2022
