Financial institution of Japan Governor Ueda about to talk – fee hike clues incoming?
I’ve posted a few instances on this already, most not too long ago:
- Heads up for Asia central financial institution audio system Monday, November 18 – BoJ Gov Ueda, RBA’s Kent
Financial institution of Japan Governor Ueda speech is from 10am native time on Monday
- 0100 GMT (Monday), 2000 US Jap time (Sunday)
Q&A follows at 1.45 pm native time on Monday
- 0445 GMT (Monday), 2345 US Jap time (Sunday)
Through Wall Avenue Journal:
- Gov. Ueda will converse to enterprise leaders in Nagoya, Japan. Given the yen’s latest sharp weak point posing renewed threat of inflation in Japan, buyers will look ahead to any clues on the timing of the BOJ’s subsequent fee hike. Many economists anticipate an extra BOJ fee improve in December or January. The JGB 10-year yield rises zero.5 bp to 1.075%; the 30-year yield is down 1 bp at 2.285%.
