HSBC forecast S&P 500 to 6700 – citing earnings development

HSBC are forecasting the US benchmark S&P 500 index to hit 6,700 by year-end 2025.

• HSBC says the 2024 good points have been pushed by a mixture of earnings development and a valuation re-rating
• and that the additional good points they count on in 2025 can be pushed by 9% earnings development, “incorporating a slower however nonetheless resilient US economic system and a few margin enlargement”
